Paul von Spaun (1876-1932 Munich) - famous German landscape painter and marine painter of the realistic movement, son-in-law of the German painter Karl-Wilhelm Diefenbach. He comes from an old Swabian family, one of the branches of which has settled in Vienna since the 18th century. At the end of his life, the artist lived and worked in Munich. The strong, vibrant coastal landscapes of von Spawn, painted in the Garda, Como and Capri areas, were very popular among collectors and art lovers.
